30+ YEARS STORAGE
LTO-7 tapes has have a much longer shelf-life over classical HDDs or SSDs. When stored appropriately, life expectancy exceeds 30 years compared to 5 – 10 years on regular HDDs.
CHEAPER / GB & SAFER
LTO-7 tapes are much cheaper on a price per GB scale than recommended HDDs and SSDs. This is especially the case if you factor in the life expectancy of the tape vs. the HDD and the need for multiple backups when on HDD.
BETTER STORAGE & SHIPPING
LTO-7 is much safer to store and easier to ship than HDDs. These tapes have a comparatively minimal danger of mechanical failure to HDDs and SSDs. They also have less weight so when sending multiple you can safe on shipping fees.

Minimum order value is for 100 GB + 1 tape (2.861,00 CZK) independent of actual data volume up to 100 GB. Prices in the calculator are estimates and final prices will be calculated upon actual data usage per every new GB of data.

Write us an email or call us with an estimate on the amount of data you’d like to archive and if you require any additional services such as parallel online upload, on-site storage or courier services.
BOOK UPLOAD
We will let you know when we can process your data and send you as well a preliminary price quote. You can bring the data to our office or book courier services, either with us directly or a provider of your choice.
CALCULATE PRICE
Once we receive your data we will calculate the final price based on the actual amount of data. And once confirmed by you, we will create the backup and let you know when the tape is ready for pickup or storage at our facility.
After you bring your data, we will process it into zip files and copy it onto the required amount of LTO tapes. For every started 6 TB of data you will always be charged the full price of a tape. After the backup that might take a day or two, depending on the amount of data you can have the tape and your original storage device sent to you or picked it up at our office.
Un-archiving is as simple as bringing us the tape and your external storage device on which we should copy it.
- Don’t bring your original data but only the backup (we give no guarantee for a potential loss of your data – remember always have multiple backups!)
- Use a fast USB 3.0 or eSATA disk for maximum tranferring speed.
- You can also bring a bare HDD or SSD that we can plug in.
- You can share a 6 TB tape with other people to share costs for the storage medium.
- LTO is best suited for long term archival of rushes, masters and project files.
